Please note: We will make a 10-12mm deduction to your width and drop. We make this deduction to ensure a nice tight fit.
Important Checks
-
✔ Check your recess depth
Ensure you have at least 5cm clearance between the edge of any obstruction and the front of your window recess.
-
✔ Width obstruction check
If you have any obstructions within your recess such as tiles, measure between these two points and use this as your width measurement.
Measure the drop

Use the smallest measurement as your drop.
Final step
Now enter your width and drop measurements, then select Recess as your sizing option.
-
Deductions

Measuring for Roman Blinds
Exact Size
-
Use this method if you know exactly the width and the drop you require.
Measure the width
-
Decide how much overlap you want your roman blind to have on each side of your window recess. Measure this width.
Important Checks
-
✔ Left and Right Overlap
We recommend your roman blind overlaps your window recess by at least 5cm on each side (10cm overall).
✔ For Greater Light Elimination
The more your roman blind overlaps your window recess, the more light you eliminate.
Measure the drop
-
Measure the height from where you want the top of the headrail to start, and the bottom bar to finish. This is your drop measurement.
Important Checks
-
✔ Top Overlap
We recommend your roman blind overlaps the top of your window recess by at least 7cm.
-
✔ Bottom Overlap
The desired overlap at the bottom of your window recess is personal choice. Check for obstructions such as radiators. If your window sill protudes more than 5cm, you should stop your blind at this point.
Final step
Now enter your width and drop measurements, then select Exact as your sizing option.
-
NO Deductions
We will not make any deductions to your measurements when you select the `Exact` sizing option.
